Bucky is a wonderful grey tiger who lost his home when his owner suffered a stroke. He has been adopted by Bob & Debbie W. of Marquette Heights, IL who adopted a cat they named Crosby from us last year!

Doc is a handsome greay and white cat who is very affectionate. He has been adopted by Elaine J. of Canton, IL.          This adoption is sponsored b the Rex and Nelle Jackson Foundation.

7 yr old Baby had been with us for 2 years! Her owner dumped her and 3 others at an animal control facility when he got a new girlfriend that was allergic to cats. We took them all in and loved shy Baby. Joe B. of Peoria is giving her a chance. Despite being shy - she loved him the minute he walked in the shelter!

Charlotte has a new home and a new name, Sally! It's a happy ending for a sweet little dog who has had a very rough time. In 2009 she and the dog Wilbur were in a van which was in an accident. The passengers were killed. The van was towed to Aurora, IL and a week passed before the two little dogs were discovered. They were taken to the local animal control, but after a few weeks faced euthanasia when no one wanted 10 year old dogs. We took them and soon discovered that they weren't bonded to each other. Luckily Sally is now with Donna A. and her daughter in Washington, IL. Wilbur is still looking for his forever home!            Sally, a.k.a. Charlotte, was sponsored by Joan Hunzeker Falada.

Greyson is a great cat who appears to be at least 8 years old. He was abandoned at a veterinarian's office. We took him and he soon became a favorite! He's been given a home by Mary T. of E.Peoria, IL. This adoption was sponsored by the Rex & Nelle Jackson Foundation.

10 yr old Nicky is a black cat who ended up at thelocal animal control when his owners felt they could no longer afford a pet. We were impressed by how lovable he was and took him in. He has been adopted by Sandy & John T. of Macomb, IL.

7 yr old Sadie is a Pekingese who lost her home when her owner passed away. Jake Z. had adopted a pair of older Pekes many years ago with out help from P.A.W.S., the local animal control. He's been waiting for another Pekingese since they both have died, and this was a perfect match! This adoption was sponsored by Diane Rigley and also by Barb Cathey in memory of Joyce Lee.

12 year old Kaylie is a litter pan trained dog who faced being euthanized when her owner had to move and couldn't take her. No one wanted a 12 year old dog! Rosemary P.'s health prevented her from being able to walk a dog outside her high rise apartment. Luckily the two have found each other! This adoption was sponsored by Ann Hunzeker Falada and the organization Dreams for Seniors.

Tallulah is a pretty gray & white cat that was released to PFS from the local animal control when she did not adopt for them. Although friendly with people she was never comfortable with all the other cats living at our shelter. She has been adopted by Jim I. of Peoria and will be an only cat!
