Recent Adoptions

Isabella is a silver grey Toy Poodle that weighs about 7 lbs and is guessed to be 6 or 7 years old. She was found as a skinny, matted and full of fleas stray by Tazewell Cty Animal Control and later released to PFS. We had her cleaned up, spayed, given a dental , given all vaccinations, heartworm tested and even a 6 chemistry blood panel to show her good health! Mary Jane S. of E.Peoria has adopted her!

Pixie is a wonderful 7 lb, 10 year old black and tan Pomeranian who is quiet and housebroken. All she wanted in life was a home where she was the only pet and a lap to sit in all day long! Pixie got her wish when she was adopted by Julia S. of Washington, IL.

Butterscotch, an 8 year old Lab, was pretty chubby when she was released to us from the Peoria Animal Control. She's now lost 9 lbs and has been adopted to Mickey M. of Elmwood.

Benji was released to PFS many years ago from an animal control facility when his time was up. He wa adopted by a wonderful lady and lived happily with her until recently when she had to permanently enter a nursing home. Of coyrse we took Benji back and at the age of 11 years he has been adopted by Lila & John W. of East Peoria, IL.

Slick is a big purebred Maine Coon cat who is over the top friendly! Because he is 7 years old, we had a blood panel done on him and sadly the results indicated that he was in the beginnings of kidney disease. The vet said that it could be a couple years before he started showing any symptoms if he was fed the right food - so we put his story out there and sure enough got a response from Neal G. of Peoria who wanted to give him a home for whatever quality of life time he had left. Lucky Slick!!

Pretty Jewel is a 4 year old Himalayan cat that ended up at the Tazewell County Animal Control. She was released to Pets for Seniors and quickly found a home with Linda L. who says she's adjusting quite well!

This sleek black cat was released to us from the Peoria County Animal Control. She's been adopted by Terry S. of Peoria and her new name is Pepper.

Cheree is an 8 year old fawn Pekingese who has lived her entire life in a show and breeding kennel. She adapted pretty well to her foster home and her tail never stops wagging! She has moved in for good with Steven and Paula D. of Edwards, IL. her new name is Sophie. She was sponsored in memory of Joyce Lee.

We took Sammy from an animal control in Kankakee many years ago and he was adopted by a lady who loved him very much. She recently passed away and of course we took Sammy back. He's now 9 or 10 and has adopted to Joleen F. of Peoria Heights, IL.
