Polly was found as a stray by the local animal control, P.A.W.S, who later turned her over to us. She is guessed to be 8 or 9 years old. She has been adopted by Mary M. of Peoria, IL  This adoption was sponsored by a grant from the Rex and Nelle Jackson Foundation.
The volunteers at the Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter thought that Sugar was a wonderful, gentle dog! After 5 weeks of trying to find a home without success, we took this 47 lb, 10 yr old, somewhat deaf dog from P.A.W.S. We're happy to say that she has found a home with Ruth P. of Peoria! This adoption was sponsored by a grant from the Rex and Nelle Jackson Foundation.
Tilly (formerly "Janie") is a sweet Rat Terrier that is 8/9 years old. She was released to us from the Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter (P.A.W.S.) in Peoria, IL and after having some dental work donated by the Peoria Humane Society, has been adopted by Bertha D. of Princeton, IL. When I left Bertha's house, Tilly was already cuddled up in her lap!      This adoption was sponsored by Ann Hunzeker Falada.
Happy is a wonderful Pekingese who is always happy, well housebroken, good with other animals and loves to be held! He just turned 11 years old but thanks to Lynn & David C. of Peoria, won't be a homeless senior!
Emmie is a 10 year old Sheltie who was released to us from our local animal control facility because they were afriad that they wouldn't be able to adopt her because of her age. After being given a dental and other vet work, she was adopted by James P. of Galesburg, IL. Emmie will love his fenced-in yard!
Connor was owned by an older lady who could no longer aford to care for him and another. He was given up to another rescue and released to PFS. Connor is a very well behaved Corgi who has been adopted by Claire P. of Indianapolis, IN.
Sparky II is a Shih Tzu who was released to us from the local animal control facility, probably because his "dry eye" condition made him harder to adopt. Luckily he's been adopted by Jerry & Barbara C. of Galva, IL.
Peanut is a Chinese Crested who was one of 15 in a "crack" house being used for breeding. She was rescued out of that situation and her rescuer tried very hard to make it work in her home. Unfortunately Peanut was terrified of larger dogs and she not only had some, but also pet sat for others. Peanut wouldn't eat and got down to only 6 lbs. She was released to us and has been adopted to Karen S. and her husband of Cambridge, IL. Peanut is doing great!!
